Henderson junior attack Katelyn Fay has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Drexel University.
Fay, who plays club lacrosse for SEPA, is a member of the Academic Honor society. Her numerous service projects include coaching CYO field hockey and youth lacrosse.
At Drexel, Fay intends to major in Education.
“I chose Drexel because of the excellent academic programs and exciting city skyline,” said Fay. “The school is also close to home, where my family will be able to attend games.”
Fay joins Downingtown West attack Eva Winiarski as a Drexel junior recruit.
Fay said the Warriors enjoyed a successful season in 2011 and should be a Ches-Mont contender in 2012.
“This 2011 season Henderson had one of its best years,” she said. “We worked well together and made it to playoffs, but feel short of meeting our goal to make it to the state tournament. We are looking forward to next year!”
