CB East's lacrosse team may have done the one thing you don't want to do.

Woke up a sleeping bear in the District 1 final at Radnor.

Conestoga threw the ball all over the field leading to nearly twenty first half turnovers in their first meeting that night.

CB East's players and supporters gained confidence that they could play with the top team in the state. The only problem was...the Patriots could manage just three goals off all those Pioneer miscues.

Conestoga woke up at halftime...and breezed to victory.

If CB East had seen the Pioneers this past Saturday, they would have seen a much different team than they faced a week and a half ago. They would have seen a team that justified to college coaches why they have all those Division 1 recruits.

They made a pretty good Hempfield team look much inferior in pasting them 16-2.

When 'Stoga is on its game, they are very fast...with relentless pressure on both ends of the field. And if they pass and catch (like they know how)...the ball hits the back of the net...often.

And on an expected hot day on Tuesday at 2pm, their depth will be a key factor as well. The Patriots better be prepared for a different team than they saw in district's.

Prediction: It is hard for me to imagine CB East scoring enough goals to beat the defending state champions.

They will need at least nine goals to stay in the game. Their only chace is to see a repeat of the first half of the District 1 final...with hopes it lasts for 48 minutes. But not likely.
