Public League boys’ lacrosse: George Washington, Northeast to meet today for championship at Gratz (4:30 p.m.)

George Washington and Northeast punched their tickets into the Public League boys’ lacrosse championship game today by winning semifinal games Tuesday at Gratz.

GW, the No. 1 seed, blanked Audenried, 12-0, while No. 2 seed Northeast broke open a 4-4 game at halftime and toppled Mastery Charter, 14-6.

The two teams will meet for the title at 4:30 p.m. following the girls’ championship game at Gratz.

Nick DeMartino and A.J. Sahlunis each scored four goals to pace George Washington’s attack. Declan Sweeney earned the shutout with eight saves.

Matt Ragan led Northeast with five goals and four assists while Veasna Kim added four goals.
