Tuesday’s boys’ high school roundup, late edition: Avon Grove, Great Valley, Arch. Wood claim wins

Trevor Hornby scored six goals to lead visiting Avon Grove to a 13-2 Ches-Mont League win over Bayard Rustin Tuesday.

The Devils improved to 5-0 overall and 2-0 in the league.

Bishop Shanahan 14, West Chester East 3

Joe McErlean pumped in seven goals to lead the Eagles to the Ches-Mont win.

Great Valley 9, Unionville 6

Eric Gartner scored three goals to help the Patriots deal the Indians a Ches-Mont loss.

Billy Donovan and Richard Kaiser each scored two for Unionville.

Downingtown East 13, Octorara 0

Ryan George scored two gaols as the Cougars cruised to the Ches-Mont win.

Archbishop Wood 11, Council Rock North 6

Steve Kent collected three goals and an aassist and scooped 10 groudballs to pace the Vikings to the non-league win.

Souderton 6, Central Bucks South 5

Ridge Schultz scored his second goal with 2:37 remaining to give Souderton (2-2) (1-1) its first Suburban One Continental win of the season.

Tyler Macdougall and J.P. Carroll scored two goals and one assist each for the Indians. Josh Burke was a standout at LSM, picking up seven ground balls and Grant Nice made eight saves.

South received strong goalie play from Ryan Kelly (13 saves).
