Tuesday’s boys’ high school roundup: St. Joe’s Prep edges Penn Charter, 13-12

Jeff Heath scored five goals and added an assist to lead St. Joseph’s Prep to a 13-12 victory over Penn Charter Tuesday night at Cabrini College in a Philly boys’ lacrosse game involving two Top 10 teams.

Cory Scheuerle and Anthony Marini each added two goals each for the Hawks (1-1), ranked No. 6 in the PA Media Rankings.

Tyler White had four goals and Andy Grabowski added three goals and an assist for the No. 9 Quakers (2-1).

Episcopal Academy 8, Downingtown East 6

Tyler Odell scored three goals and Shane Morrell added two goals and two assists for the Churchmen (3-0).

Great Valley 15, Radnor 7

Greg Merrill had four goals and an assist and Eric Gartner collected three goals and three assists for the Patriots (2-0).
Dan Buccholz and Noel Joseph each added three goals and an assist while Nick DiPiano made nine saves for Great Valley.

Radnor got two goals each from Jeff Pucketteand Mike Cherry while Mike Barneswon 15 of 23 face-offs.

Devon Prep 8, Octorara 5

Pat Robbins had three goals and seven groundballs to pace the Tide (2-1).

Josh Jones scored four goals for Octorara.

Council Rock South 7, Archbishop Ryan 6

Dennis Chichkin had two goals and two assists to lead the Hawks.

Tim Taylor led Ryan with three goals and two assists.

Garnet Valley 9, Unionville 4

Jules Raucci collected three goals and two assists to pacethe Jaguars to the victory.

Rich Kaiser had two goals for the Indians.

Ridley 10, Emmaus 2

Jim Gormley scored four goals to pace the Green Raiders past the Hornets.

Shipley Schiool 21, Bluffton SC 2

Mike Litner had six goals and an assist and Julius Mouser added four goals and one assist to pace the Gators.

George Washington 12, Mastery Charter 0

Colin Kramer had five goals and five assists to lead GW to a Public League win in its opener.
