Drew Westervelt tallied four goals and an assist and Geoff Snider had a brilliant all-around game to help the Philadelphia Wings snap a five-game losing streak and defeat the Buffalo Bandits, 15-11, Saturday in a National Lacrosse League game at the HSBC Arena.
The Wings (2-6) took command in the third period when they outscored the Bandits, 5-2, and seized a 12-8 lead. Buffalo fell to 2-6.
Snider was named the game MVP. He put up an impressive five points (1G, 4A), 16 loose balls, and won 26 of 29 face-offs.
Mat Giles had three goals and three assists for the Wings, while David Mitchell also scored three goals and added two assists while Kyle Wailes had a goal and six assists.
