Thursday’s Philly scholastic boys’ roundup: Malvern Prep tops GA; PC, Methacton, NP win

Mark Jackson and Mike Dougherty each scored three goals as host Malvern Prep defeated Germantown Academy today in Inter-Ac League boys’ lacrosse.

The win raised the Friars’ record to 7-4 overall and 2-2 in the Inter-Ac. GA fell to 6-2 and 1-2.

Radnor 6, Ridley 4Lower Merion 12, Upper Darby 2

Jordan Wolf collected three goals and five assists and Andrew Mongeluzzihad three goals and an assst to lead the Aces to the Central League win.

Conestoga 16, Harriton 0

The Pioneers improved to 9-2 overall and 5-1 in the central League.

Penn Charter 14, Chestnut Hill Academy 3

Joey Sankey scored six goals and Jackson Tamasitis had 13 saves to lead the Quakers to the non-league win over the Hillers.

Methacton 14, St. Pius X 1

Cody Ridgway and Clay Sobocinski both had three goals and Sean Aronow and Eli Miller each added two as the Warriors (7-3, 6-3) earned the PAC-10 win.

North Penn 6, Neshaminy 4

Dan Kohler and Alex Perri each had two goals as the Knights claimed the non-league win. Chris Brady had three goals and an assist for the Redskins.

Downingtown West 9, Great Valley 3

Eric Rankel scored three goals as the Whippets cruised to their fifth straight Ches-Mont League victory. Eric Sanders had a goal and three assists and Ryan Higgens chipped in with two goals for the Whippets.

Avon Grove 11, Bayard Rustin 0

Trevor Hornby collected five goals and two assists and Pat Brodie and Tim Golder each added two goals and one assists to lead Avon Grove to the Ches-Mont win.

CB East 15, Unionville 8

Matt Urban and Brian Brodzik each had four goals and two assists to lead the Patriots to the non-league win.

Richard Kaiser led the Indians with four goals.

Strath Haven 18, Marple Newtown 6

Mark Dolphin tallied four goals and Pat Fisher added three goals for the Panthers in the Central League win

Ryan Ferguson scored two for the Tigers.
