Radnor’s Freedman heads Philly selections to All-ESPN RISE girls’ team

Radnor senior midfielder Kelyn Freedman, who led the Red Raiders to their second straight Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association championship, has been named to the First Team of the All-ESPN RISE girls’ lacrosse squad.

Freedman collected 90 goals, 111 assists and a school-record 201 points in 2010. She also had 103 groundballs, 106 draw controls and caused 48 turnovers, while earning US Lacrosse All-American honors for the third year. Freedman – who signed with Georgetown – also has been named the MaxPreps National Player of the year and the DelcoTimes Player of the Year and was selected to play in the Under Armour All-American Game.

Freedman’s teammate at Radnor, defender Alyssa Dunlap, has been named to the Second Team All-ESPN RISE squad. Dunlap, headed to Vanderbilt, is a US Lacrosse and Under Armour All-American.

The Philly players named Honorable Mention include:
Shannon Burns, Sr., Springfield-Delco, midfielder
Courtney Campbell, Sr., attack
Allie Martin, Sr., Radnor, midfielder
