Three Philly girls – West Chester east midfielder Stephanie Lobb, Upper Dublin midfielder Kelly Cross and Conestoga defnder Emily Pillion – have been listed among the nation’s top juniors by ESPN in its weekly “On the RISE” feature.

Lobb (committed to North Carolina) is at No. 14, Cross (Syracuse) is at No. 15 and Pillion (James Madison) is at No. 21.

Lobb was a Third Team Ches-Mont League pick last year when she led the Vikings in assists and helped them reach the District 1 playoffs. She played for the Phillly 2 team at the National Tournament in May.

Cross was a First Team Suburban One American Conference choice last year for the Cardinals (18-1), who won the league title with a perfect 14-0 record and advanced to the second round of the District 1 tournament. Cross collected 54 goals and 63 assists last spring and also played on the Philly 1 team at the National Tournament.

At Syracuse, Cross will join older sister Amy, an All-American midfielder last year at Upper Dublin who is now an Orange freshman.

Pillion, who played for Philly 1 in the National tournament, helped the Pioneers reached the District 1 quarterfinals.
