Duke’s Lacrosse Club Grey and Blue teams declared co-champions of 20th Annual Tri-State MLK indoor tourney

The Duke’s Lacrosse Club Grey and Blue teams were declared co-champions of the 20th Annual Tri-State Indoor National Indoor Lacrosse Championships (MLK) on Jan. 16-17 at the Peddie School in Hightstown, N.J.

The Duke’s Grey went undefeated in two days of play to reach the championship game of the 12-team tourney. Duke’s Blue suffered a one-goal defeat to Tri-State Black on Day One of the tournament, but redeemed itself by defeating Tri-State Black in the semifinals by two goals to reach the championship game. Instead of playing off, the teams shared the crown.

Sophomore goalie Tyler Morrell (Episcopal Academy) was voted by the coaches as the tournament MVP (see picture below).
