Senior attackman Chaz Narwicz (Holy Ghost Prep) was named the North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Year and joined two other Philly men’s lacrosse players from Ohio Wesleyan University on the All-North Coast Athletic Conference team.
Narwicz – who also earned USILA Honorable Mention All-American – was a first-team all-league pick while senior midfielder Chris Ehlinger (Radnor) and senior attackman Rob Young (Council Rock South) were second-team picks.
Narwicz led the Bishops in scoring with 32 goals and 18 assists and ranked third in the NCAC with an average of 3.57 points per game.
Ehlinger led Bishop midfielders in scoring with 9 goals and 6 assists this season. He was a first-team All-NCAC choice in 2009.
Young ranked third on the team in scoring with 26 goals and 12 assists this season. His average of 2.92 points per game ranked ninth in the NCAC. Young was a second-team all-conference pick for the third straight season.
Ohio Wesleyan finished the season with a 10-4 record. The Battling Bishops shared the NCAC championship, Ohio Wesleyan’s 17th conference title in the 26 seasons of NCAC competition, and advanced to the NCAA Division III playoffs for the 24th time.
