Hatboro-Horsham senior attackman Kevin Sweeney has committed to play Division III lacrosse at King’s College.

Hatboro-Horsham's Kevin Sweeney will play at King's College

Sweeney helped the Hatters finish 18-6 and reach the state tournamant while sharing the Suburban One Continental Conference crown last year.

An Honor Roll student, he plans to become a high school science teacher.

“I like the coach a lot and when I went on my overnight I had a lot of fun with the team,” Sweeney said. “They have a really good education program in science and I want to teach Chemistry”

Sweeney, who scored 25 goals last year, plays club lacrosse for Twist.

He is confident the Hatters will again be a major contender for the league title under first-year coach J.P. Banks.

“I think we’ll be pretty good,” Sweeney said, “We’ll have a lot of juniors and sophomores stepping into bigger roles.”
