Freshman attack Bitzer (Central Bucks East) added to roster for Penn State women

Freshman attack/midfielder Carly Bitzer (Central Bucks East) has been added to the roster at Penn State.

Bitzer was a four-year starter at CB East who was a Second Team Suburban One Continental Conference pick last year when she scored 50 goals and added 23 assists. Bitzer served as a captain and helped the Patriots reach the District 1 tournament.

In 2009 she was a First Team all-league pick and collected 53 goals and 20 assists.

She played for the Bucks Select club team.

Bitzer is one of five Philly freshmen at Penn State; the others are goalie Melissa Lloyd and midfielder Lizzy Carney (Unionville), midfielder Lauren Purvis (Hatboro-Horsham) and attack Avery Curley (Episcopal Academy).
