Three Philly men’s teams recently landed Division I recruits, each of whom signed National Letters of Intent during the early signing period.

Defenseman Patrick Root, from St. Andrews College in Aurora, Ontario, Canada, has signed his NLI with Drexel. Root’s attributes are speed, stick skills and scooping groundballs.

Defenseman Adam Sands, of Greenwich (Conn.), signed with Lehigh. Sands, a strong and athletic defender, was named all-CIAC Class L First Team and led his team (12-8) to the conference title.

Also, defensive midfielder Tyler Holly, of Collegiate School (Va.), signed with Villanova. A 6-1, 195-pound short stick middie, he excels in groundballs and creating turnovers.
