St. Ignatius (Calif.) junior midfielder Will McKee has committed to play NCAA Division I lacrosse at Lehigh University in 2012.

McKee also considered Duke, Syracuse and Bucknell.

“I picked Lehigh for its academic excellence and its amazing business program,” McKee said. “Also, the coaches are awesome and very straight-forward. Coach (Kevin) Cassese and the other coaches are committed to building a strong and successful program.”

In the last WestSideLax ELITE 25 Spring 2010 rankings, McKee was listed as the No. 1 sophomore in the West.

“I will work hard over the next two years to be sure that I can contribute on the next level,” McKee said. “Overall, I can’t wait to be a Mountain Hawk.”
