Thursday’s boys’ Catholic League playoff roundup: St. Joe’s Prep, LC advance to semifinals

Jeff Heath scored three goals while Brad James had two goals and one assist as host St. Joseph’s Prep defeated Archbishop Carroll, 11-3, today in the Catholic League boys’ quarterfinals.

The Southern Division champion Hawks (11-7) advance to the league semifinals Tuesday against Lansdale Catholic, a 16-11 winner over Archbishop Wood, at Monsignor Bonner at a time to be determined

Pat Swanick and Rob Watts each added two goals for St. Joe’s Prep.

Liam Malley collected three goals and four assists and Chuck Karr had two goals and two assists to lead the Crusaders to the quarterfinal win.

Alexander Ryan and Sean Rooney each scored two goals for LC. Kevin Maxwell and Drew McIntyre led Wood with three goals each while Steve Jackson had a goal and five assists.
