Pennsbury's Tim Considine

Pennsbury senior midfielder Tim Considine has committed to play Division III lacrosse at Gwynedd-Mercy College.

Considine had nine goals and eight assists and was a third-team Suburban One National Conference pick last year for the Falcons, who went 8-2 in league play and 12-8 overall.

“When I went on my visit, I really liked the school,” said Considine. “It’s a new (second-year) program, but after meeting the guys on the team I felt I could fit in easily and I hope I’ll be able to play right away.”

Considine, who also considered Randolph-Macon, King’s and Chestnut Hill, plans to pursue a major in the Biology field.

The Griffins went 2-4 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference and 7-9 overall in their inaugural season last year. This year, they are off to a 5-0 start under coach Dana Lindstrom heading into Wednesday’s action.

“I think it will be a lot more interesting being part of a whole team that builds together,” Considine said. “Hopefully, we’ll be able to visibly see it progress.”

For now, Considine will try and help keep the Falcons in the SOL National hunt. Last year Pennsbury advanced to the District 1 playoffs, and this year the team is expecting to challenge Abington for the conference title.

“We graduated our entire defense, but we definitely have guys who can step up,” Considine said. “I think we look pretty good.”
