The Syracuse Orange is ranked No. 1 in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse (USILA) preseason coaches poll that was released today. The Orange received eight of the 10 first-place votes and a total of 198 points.

Virginia received the other two first-place votes. The Cavaliers are ranked No. 2 with 192 points. Maryland (169 points), Cornell (162 points) and Johns Hopkins (155 points) rounded out the top five. Drexel and Penn both received votes, but are not in the Top 20.
