Souderton senior midfielder Lindsay Walbrandt has signed a National Letter of Intent to play Division II lacrosse at NCAA runner-up Lock Haven University.
Walbrandt was a Suburban One Continental Conference second-team and Honorable mention All-Phillylacrosse.com selection in 2009 when she scored 48 goals and helped the Indians finish 11-6 while reaching the District 1 playoffs. Walbrandt also was a second-team all-league pick in 2008.
Lock Haven finished 18-4 in 2009, winning the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference crown before falling to Adelphi in the national finals. Walbrandt is the second Philly girl to sign with Lock Haven; the other is Unionville midfielder Julie Moran.
Walbrandt will major in Special Education at Lock Haven. She said she chose the school based on its strong coaching staff and campus.
