Haverford School to host teams from Philly, Maryland, Delaware, D.C. in Mid-Atlantic Lacrosse Showcase Sunday

Twelve high school teams will compete Sunday in the Mid-Atlantic Lacrosse Showcase, a boys’ high school recruiting tournament at The Haverford School

The field features two teams from 2009 Inter-Ac League co-champion Haverford School, state semifinalist Springfield-Delco, Inter-Ac third-place finisher Episcopal Academy, Downingtown West and Wissahickon as well as a team consisting of players from state finalist Conestoga and Germantown Academy.

Also competing are two teams from Maryland power Georgetown Prep, Maryland’s OC Lacrosse and mighty Gonzaga Prep of Washington D.C. The 12th team will be defending Delaware state champion Salesianum School.

College coaches from Penn, Notre Dame, Villanova, Denver, Drexel and Princeton have committed to attend. The tournament directors are Haverford coaches John Nostrant and Mark Petrone and Georgetown Prep coach Kevin Giblin.
