Girls’ wrap: Springfield-Delco routs Carroll, 16-5; Conestoga tops Downingtown East, 11-7

Valerie Paolucci had four goals and an assist and Courtney Kennedy had four goals while Madison Poplowski ad ded three goals as host Springfield-Delco routed Archbishop Carroll, 16-5, today in non-league girls’ lacrosse.

Sammie Tulski added two goals for the Cougars, who have won five games in a row, led 10-4 at halftime. Meg McKee had three goals and Amanda Salata had a goal and two assists for the Patriots (1-2).

Conestoga 11, Downingtown East 7

Taylor Mallory pumped in four goals and Kaitlin Hildebrand added three as the Pioneers earned the non-league victory. Theresa Brady added a pair of goals and Britta Hjelm and Taylor Lawlor had one apiece while Sarah Priem posted 11 saves.

Wissahickon 16, Hatboro-Horsham 6

Aubrey Bossert scored six goals and had eight draw controls and Anne Bracaglia had five goals and two assists to lead the Trojans. Natalie Draham added three goals and four assists while Ashley Bossert collected two goals and two assists. Jess Scannapieco had eight saves in goal.

For the Hatters, Julie McKay netted four goals and Cortnee Daley and Alex Taratuski (three assists) had one each while Jackie Kimmel made 13 saves. Carolina Hagan added two assists.

Central Bucks East 11, Central Bucks West 9

Carly Bitzer scored four goals for the Patriots in the Suburban One Continental Conference win. Morgan Ashworth led the Bucks with six goals.

Upper Merion 9, Upper Moreland 4

Kellie Manoppello had three goals and two assists and Lauren Mateja had eight saves to lead the Vikings to the win. Christi Torres had a goal and two assists for the Bears and Sarah Baumgardner had seven saves.

Gabby Locheto fired in six goals and Nicole Miller added five as the Wildcats coasted to the PAC-10 win. Devon Yocom had three goals for the Trojans

Archbishop Wood 11 Central Bucks South 5

Jenn White had three goals while Alyssa Andress, Caitlin McCartney (two assists) and Aubrie Ahrens had two each for the undefeated Vikings (5-0). Haley Oczkowski and Alyssa Verrillo scored once each and Kate Smart posted nine saves.

Casey Haegle, Natalie Rube, Kelly Hamilton, Jen Dunne and Taylor Michener scored for CB South.

Notre Dame 16, Downingtown West 9

Kelly McCallion had six goals and four draw controls, Maggie Corcoran scored three goals, Katie Blumenthal had two goals and Bridget Burns had three draw controls to lead the Fighting Irish.

Kellyn Warren led the Whippets with four goals while Jaymie Tabor and Casey Kellogg had two each. Julie DiGiovanni and Devan Hibbs played strong defense.

Alicia Giovanicci paced O’Hara with a pair of goals and goalie Michelle Miller made nine stops.

Stephanie Feinman notched four goals while Emily Stevens and Liz Stevens had three apiece for GS.

Steph Parcell collected five goals and two assists, Kate Kaut had four goals, Danielle Haney scored three and Ali Killian had two goals and two assists for the Bucs. Lauren Rovinski led Prendie with four tallies.
