Girls’ wrap: Conestoga defeats Harriton in OT, 11-10; Panthers, Raiders, Cougars, Fords claim wins

Taylor Mallory had five goals, including the game-winner in the second overtime, as Conestoga defeated Harriton, 11-10, Thursday in Central League girls’ lacrosse action.

Kaitlin Hildebrand added three goals and two assists for the Pioneers (5-3, 4-1).

Jessica Schwab led the Rams (9-4, 3-4) with four goals.

Sam Ellis scored five goals, Courtney Campbell had four and Kelyn Freedman three as the top-ranked Red Raiders (10-0, 7-0) cruised to the win.

Springfield-Delco 18, Penncrest 8

Shannon Burns had five goals and three assists while Madison Poplawski added four goals and three assists for the Cougars (10-2, 6-1). Marissa Restaino led Penncrest with three goals.

Haverford 13, Garnet Valley 10

Liz Bassani and Catie Coyle each scored four goals each to lead the Fords. Jamie Snyder led the Jags with three tallies.

Upper Moreland 13, Norristown 8

Karen Illuminati had four goals and Lily Smith added three goals and an assist while Christi Torres had one goal and two assists for the Bears. Sarah Baumgardner made 10 saves. Trisha Taylor scored three goals for the Eagles, who got 17 saves from Sara Pitkin,

Carolyn Smith had three goals and an assist and Anika Ross scored three goals while Karly Eyre had a strong all-around game with two goals, two caused turnovers and three interceptions.

Sacred Heart 13, Gwynedd Mercy 10

Stephanie Finley had six goals and three assists, Haley Ciccarelli scored four goals and Annie O’Donnell had two goals to lead Sacred Heart to the Catholic Academies win. Eileen Dombrowski added one goal and Amy Robinson made 12 saves. Calli Foley had two goals and two assists for Gwynedd while Jamie Baumgardner, Katie Coveney and Lily O’Beim had two goals each. Jenna Seybert and Katie Lamsback added one goal each.

Merion Mercy 21, Nazareth Academy 3

Emily Corcoran had five goals, Kimmy Keating added four and Casey Rooney had three goals and five assists as the Bears cruised.

Mount St. Joseph 14, Villa Joseph Marie 11

Katie Mischler had four goals and two assists and Nicole Shuster added three goals to lead the Mount.

Abington 19 Neshaminy 0

Kailee Ashby, Molly Seefried and Kristen Dunphey had two goals apiece to lead the Ghosts (10-1, 5-0) to the shutout win. Jen Kitchen, Devon Affleck, Kate Cooper, Courtney Cox, Courtney Enderle, Cait Enderle, Liz Wilson, Maddy Evans, Alex Casey, Jen Kelly, Carli Fitzgerald, Christine Capron, and Caroline Costello each scored once.  Liz Wilson led the way defense with five groundballs while Courtney Enderle contributed four groundballs.

Mel Pennington fired in eight goals as the Rams toppled the Vikings in in a PAC-10 scorefest. Maddie Wood added four goals for Spring-Ford while Ashley Wood had three.

Emily Beisswenger led Perk Valley with nine goals and Kelsey Metzler added four.
