Junior Joey D’Avanzo struck in the 12th minute of the contest on an unassisted goal to cut the score to 6-1. Delaware added another goal before the first period was over to stretch the lead to six again.
The Hawks they couldn’t muster any more offense until the fourth as the Blue Hens added two goals in the second and one in the third for a 10-1 advantage.

Saint Joseph’s will return to action next week when the team travels to Lehigh for a 1:00 p.m. face-off at Ulrich Sports Complex on the Goodard Campus.
