College wrap: Penn State Abington falls; D’Alonzo (Interboro) leads Wesley past Neumann

    Bill Kelly (Pennsbury) and Nathan Meyer (Abington) scored three goals each for Penn State Abington’s men Monday in an 11-8 Division III loss at Centenary College.

    Peter Seweryn (La Salle) added a goal and an assist for PSU Abington (0-2). Ian Lydon (Cheltenham) made 17 saves.

Wesley 24, Neumann 4

    Justin D’Alonzo (Interboro) poured in five goals and goalie Jim McCleaft (Sun Valley) earned the win for the hosts (3-1). Kyle Gardner (Perkiomen School) scored two goals for the Knights (0-2) in defeat while Jake Boulay made 21 saves.

Women

UMBC 9, Delaware 8

    Julianna Jeffers (Springfield-Delco) scored twice and Nicole Flego (Central Bucks East) once for the losing Blue Hens (0-3).

North Carolina 12, Denver 6

    Freshman goalie Ashley Harman (Boyertown) made 11 saves for Denver (4-4).
