Boys’ wrap: CB West downs Souderton, 11-6; U. Moreland, CR North take Suburban One wins

Scott Wilbur and Jimmy Mann each scored four goals as Central Bucks West toppled host Souderton, 11-6, Friday in Suburban One Continental boys’ lacrosse.

Jack Firriolo, Shane Opperman and Jon Hoynak also scored for the Bucks while Tanner Barbon was strong at the face-off X.

J.P. Carroll led Souderton with three goals while Lee Stiles added one goal and two assists and Sean Becker contributed one goal and one assist. Grant Nice was strong in the cage, making 12 saves for the Indians (1-10).

Upper Moreland 5, Cheltenham 2

Ellis Fattizzi had two goals and four groundballs and Max Schubert made eight saves to lead the Bears  (4-7 overall, 3-5) to the Suburban One American win.

Pat Sweet and Doug Rheiner scored three goals apiece for the Indians in the Suburban One National Conference win. Matt Morton had three tallies for the Golden Hawks.

Boyertown 8, Spring-Ford 7

Matt Salvetti (two goals) scored the game-winner with four minutes left to lift the Bears to the Pioneer Athletic Conferenced win. Jake Reidenauer and Zach Teator each had two goals and two assists for Boyertown while Tyler Novotny (two goals) notched the 200th of his career for the Rams.

Methacton 15, Pottsgrove 4

Bayard Rustin 8, Avon Grove 6

Brian Platt and Luke McGreevy each scored twice and Joe Kelly made 12 saves as the Golden Knights (1-4 Ches-Mont) claimed their first Ches-Mont League win ever with the upset over Avon Grove (4-2 Ches-Mont). Tim Golder scored twice for AG.

Perkiomen School 8, Del Val Friends 3

Zac Falone Ryan Jang and Jake Schoenberger scored two goals each for the Indians.

George School 8, Westtown 4

Dave Foppert netted six goals for GS.
