Girls’ lacrosse: Abington deals Upper Dublin its first loss of year

Lisa O’Donnell scored five goals and Kristen Dunphey added four as visiting Abington remained perfect Monday by defeating Upper Dublin, 16-6, in a Suburban One cross-over girls’ game featuring two undefeated teams.

The Ghosts are 11-0 and ranked fifth by Phillylacrosse.com. Upper Dublin, whose coach, Dee Cross was a longtime coach at Abington, is now 9-1.

Alisha Aquilino recorded eight saves for Abington, which led 10-2 at halftime. Liz Wilson and Kelly Condon paced the Ghost’ defense while Amy Cross, the coach’s daughter, led the Cards with three goals.

North Penn 20, CB East 7

Abbie Hartman and Lauren McDermott scored seven goals apiece to lead the visiting Maidens (7-4) to an easy win over the Patriots (3-7) in a Suburban One cross-over game. Ali Herman contributed four assists for North Penn.
